The Head of Marketing will be accountable for the development of the marketing and brand portfolio strategy, within the context of the Nordic growth plans and Dyson’s global marketing ambitions. You will also be responsible for the quality and timely execution of all agreed activities to drive the delivery of the P&L. As Head of Marketing you will lead a smaller Marketing team of 4-6 employees and report directly into the Country Manager, as well being a key member of the Nordic market’s leadership team.

About the role

  • Responsibility for the marketing and brand portfolio strategy for the Nordics business while managing the marketing budget effectively
  • Develop an advertising/media strategy for the key B2C categories and ensure consistent execution of all key equity elements across materials and channels
  • Adapt and implement European designed campaigns and activities to local needs based on sell-out plans that will result in sustainable and profitable growth
  • Drive digital/social media strategy locally with the support of Dyson groups teams
  • Manage media buying agency to ensure delivery of campaigns. Optimizing performance and ensure execution is in line with group and market objectives
  • Lead category development in the Nordics for Floorcare, Personal Care and Environmental Control, acting as the ‘go to’ person for all strategic direction and assets
  • Own and deliver NPD launch plans.
  • Contribute to Dyson’s market presence in physical retail and bring it to a next level
  • Lead, develop, coach and motivate a diverse team of marketing professional and support their capability of delivering excellent and “best in class” results.
  • Drive commercial awareness within the team and the whole organization
  • Conduct rigorous business, consumer and competitive analysis
  • Work closely as a sparring partner with local business units (Sales, Direct, Finance, PR, Operations) and with International Marketing

About you

  • Degree educated with a min. of 8-10 years marketing experience in a high performing environment including strategy development, consumer insight generation, brand positioning and delivery of successful brand execution plans, preferably in the consumer goods industry (FMCG and/or TCG)
  • Excellent understanding of commercial awareness and decision making based on sales targets
  • Track record of leading, developing and motivating a team of marketers, creating an environment in which the norms are challenged and where there is a real desire to deliver consistent high performance
  • Strong interpersonal skills – excellent global team play, communication and influencing skills with the ability to balance the various individual interests of all stakeholders (Local/Regional/Global Senior Management and other functions)
  • Self-starter with a high energy level who enjoys working in an autonomous way, demonstrating energy and passion, breakthrough thinking, developing new opportunities
  • Experience in working effectively in a diverse, matrix organization demonstrating the ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity across the organization
  • Proven experience in delivering impactful digital marketing campaigns
  • Development of strategies and campaigns across the 360-marketing approach: Social Media & Content, Programmatic Display, PPC, SEO, CRM, Digital Analytics
  • Fluent in English and preferably one of the Nordic languages
