Art director at Axis Communications

Who is your future team?
The Marketing Communications team deliver various media for online and offline channels such as campaigns, brand communication, videos, photos, animations, infographics & technical illustrations, newsletters, digital content, sales material and more. Our role is to maintain brand consistency and provide effective communication to different target groups. We also manage conferences, tradeshows, customer visits and customer experience centers.
What you’ll do here as Art Director
As an Art Director in the Marcom Projects team, your main responsibility will be to plan and drive the ideation and creative development of various brand and marketing communication initiatives and campaigns to promote Axis solutions, products and services.
You will also be a brand champion who will create guidelines & style guides and give brand guidance within the areas UI/UX (the visual representation), illustrations and graphic design.
In your daily work you will take creative lead in projects making sure to bring out strong and cohesive communication ideas and concepts, and also to make sure that the cooperation and communication flows smoothly between the teams and stakeholders. The role calls for a high level of creativity and interpersonal skills since you will lead the creative process including other creatives, content providers, specialists and external agencies. You will play an important role in securing that projects are successfully delivered to create attention and engagement among our different target groups.
- Creative lead, art direction and production in various brand and marketing communication projects and marketing activities
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines to promote brand consistency in Axis software and applications for multiple platforms, such as web and mobile apps and other UI/UX related areas, in close cooperation with R&D representatives
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines for illustrations together with the illustrations team
- Contribute with marketing insights to ensure our communication is benefit driven, customer centric and on brand
- Being a speaking partner when it comes to creative ideas and brand direction.
Who are you?
You are a creative at heart who bring inspiration to others. We believe you have a highly developed conceptual design thinking and demonstrated skill set. You have the ability to explore and promote your ideas and visual concepts, and you always work with the end user in focus. You have a relevant higher education within the creative field, experience from both functional and emotional design, as well as knowledge in interaction design/UX/UI for multiple platforms such as web, mobile apps and software. It’s important that you have a good understanding for and ability to learn advanced technology to be able to see the possibilities and limitations it presents to your work as a designer.
You are also experienced within the areas of photography, film and 3D for different channels. You should have experience working as an art director in multiple marketing communication projects with mixed teams of marketers, creatives, content providers and specialists, either from a global in-house marketing department or an agency. We believe you have a curious mindset and that you love creating and delivering well executed and effective marketing communication. You take a holistic view on content and communication development and feel at home in the digital marketing landscape and know what works in different channels. You should be able to work both independently and in teams, handle multi-tasking work and plan and prioritize tasks based on different deadlines. We value strong communication skills and cooperation as teamwork is an important part of the Axis culture. Good Swedish and English skills are essential.
