The Marketing organization at Scandic consists of teams on Group as well as local marketing teams in the countries. We work closely together to inspire current customers and attract new customers to our hotels. As part of the Commercial organization on Group, the Ecommerce & Marketing team is responsible to drive our online sales – which today is 2 billion SEK yearly and growing. Our responsibility covers; Content in all channels, Performance Marketing, Marketing Platform Management, Online Analytics, Social Media and Online Reputation Management. We have a clear mandate and we aim to work agile and data-driven - where we go for business value, base decisions on data, test new approaches and channels, optimize, test and learn.

As the Social Media Manager your key mission is to enable the development and optimization of our social media presence – with the end goal to drive online sales. You will be responsible for the Social Media Strategy and Guidelines, as well as how we track and follow-up progress. Moreover, with input from the country teams, you decide on the tools that the entire company use within Social Media, and drive the development of these tools and technologies together with IT and/or partners. You secure the balance between organic and paid, to optimize the sales and engagement we get from social media. You work closely with the Community Managers in the country organizations to make sure they have what they need to succeed on each market and that we share best practices. You will also work closely with the Performance Marketing Manager to secure the paid social, and with the Online Reputation Specialist to sync on rating and reviews versus other Social channels.

We think that you have studied Marketing or Economics, and have 5+ years of experience within Online Marketing and/or Communication, of which at least 3 years within Social Media. You love the combination of engaging customers with relevant content and following the results to enable even better performance. You are a team player and have good social skills in educating others and inspire them to test new approaches and channels. You are eager to follow trends and changes in the market, you seek opportunities, and you have the ability to think ahead and proactively drive the development. Moreover, you feel that you can represent Scandic values – Be Caring, Be You, Be a Pro and Be Bold. You are fluent in English and preferably also ok in Swedish.
In this role you will report into the Director of Ecommerce & Marketing who is reporting to the CCO, a position in the Executive Committee. You will be located at our head quarter office in Stockholm.
